私の研究室では、放射線治療に使用する直線加速器や放射線のシミュレーションを行う放射線治療計画装置を用いて種々の解析を行っています。とくに直線加速器の品質管理・品質保証などに着目して、効率的に精度良く実施する方法や放射線治療計画におけるシミュレーションアルゴリズムに関する検討を行っています。

DNAメチル化は、遺伝子の発現に関わる遺伝子スイッチ(エピジェネティクス(後成遺伝学))の一つです。化学物質がその遺伝子スイッチを切り替えることで、「がん細胞を生み出す」または「がん細胞の増殖を食い止める」機構を研究しています。一方、金属結合タンパク質であるメタロチオネイン(MT)が、がん悪性化に関係する遺伝子調節に関与していることをノックアウト細胞を用いて検討してきました。無機発がんやエピジェネティクスに興味がある方はご連絡ください。
